Preparing Custom-Shaped Items
Follow this quick guide to set up your die-cut stickers correctly for our presses:
Open your design in vector software like Adobe Illustrator.
Keep your artwork on its own separate layer.
Open your Swatches panel and create a New Swatch.
Change the Color Type to Spot Color.
Name the swatch exactly "CutContour" with no spaces.
Set the color to 100% Magenta so it stands out.
Create a new layer above your artwork named "Cut Line".
Draw your cutting path around your design.
Apply your new CutContour spot color to the Stroke only.
Set the stroke weight to 1 pt and set it to Align Stroke to Center.
Save your final file as a print-ready PDF and upload it to DemPrinting.com.
